I am a registered nurse and mother of two children. I provide holistic nursing care and doula support to families during the childbearing year. I am passionate about educating and empowering families. I believe in the strength of women and that the transition to motherhood is a sacred rite of passage that should be honored and respected.

As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing I have an extensive set of skills, knowledge and judgement that I call upon to support all aspects of your being (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). I support the whole you as you recover from birth. I use my training as a nurse to promote your comfort while you heal. I also prevent disease and complications during the healing process. I provide health education and counseling for the the whole family.

As a Certified Postpartum Doula, I have specialized training in working with new families. I support the transition to parenthood and help families feel confident in their new roles. I am always supporting more than just your physical challenges. Within my doula practice, I am looking for ways to support your emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. I see you as a whole person with individual needs and goals.

As a student of The Healing Touch Program, I provide you and your baby with the benefits of healing touch. A basic principle of Healing Touch (HT) is that healing includes the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual elements of your being. Research shows the benefits of Healing Touch include and are not limited to, a reduction in anxiety, fatigue, pain and stress. HT also facilitates wound healing, promotes restful sleep and helps the body prepare for and recover from various traumas. It supports pregnancy and the birthing process. HT assists with transitions throughout the lifespan including becoming parents and being born.
